The goal of this project was to take a certain product and come up with a brand identity for it, focusing more on the packaging and graphic design aspect more than the product itself.

For my project, I Designed packaging for a line of Tea.
Initial Thoughts
In the early stages of the project, after settling on the idea of doing tea, I took a look at common packaging methods for tea. I also looked at what tea flavors were the most common, what other brands identities were, and began some concepts for basic logos and names.
The Concept
The Concept I eventually came up with was a more playful outlook on what packaging can be. The idea was that there would be an overall "story" or theme that my brand would follow, and by buying more of these cans, the consumer would learn more about it through fun stories and images on it. The cans could be purchased and collected to try and get gather every one.

The title I decided one was "Starbound Sippers", and it would follow two brothers, who traveled the galaxy in their space ship in search of ingredients for their tea.
Every flavor would have its own unique location and backstory on it, which a different logo and image. I wanted this brand to stick out from all the other tea products on the shelf, so hopefully the unique art work would pull the consumer in, and the lighthearted, amusing stories would keep them looking out for the brand.

I decided to make this product canned tea instead of boxed individual tea, and I chose 3 popular flavors to start with, Lemon, Green tea and Chai.
The Flavors
The first flavor was Lunar Lemon. The lemon flavor came from the collection of Asteroids known as "Citrosus". Nobody knows why the asteroids formed in this shape, but scientists believe it is because of the acidic nature of the rocks.
The second flavor is Galactic Green Tea. The green tea comes from the abundant leaves that populate the floor of this forest planet.
The last flavor is Cosmic Chai. This flavor comes from the mighty volcano "Frothaloa", known throughout the galaxy because of its unique frothy and light magma.
